Mission Statement

To create, as a community, a comprehensive multimedia editing and creative design suite thats runs on all major platforms and provides all levels of professional digital film and media production in an integrated graphical environment.

The purpose of Project Generation

Our goal is to inspire the accelerated development of professional quality open-source media tools.

Project Generation is dedicated to the development of premiere open-source projects by creating the need for such projects to develop more quickly with applicable features and enhanced community support.

The Generation Production Suite creates a central film editing and media suite which integrates features from other projects such as Blender 3D, Cinepaint, Inkscape, The Gimp and Ardour.

By creating a central media project which incorporates the use of other open-source projects, we create the focused environment in which to test and push the professional quality and application of the projects involved.

This environment is created through an open-source movie project which focuses on pushing the envelope of the open-source tools to create fully professional products with real-world, professional application.

This directs more attention and support for development and use of the projects involved. The features from these projects which are used by the Generation Production Suite will be created through and under the direction of the open-source project effected by the desired feature.

We will direct our personnel and community resources to the development of participating projects for the benefit of all.
