Free Media Production Suite

One of the largest obstacles in post-production is the interoperability of file types, formatting, importing and exporting between multiple programs.

How do I my footage from the editing program into the 3D redering software to composite the animations? How do I export my footage for frame-by-frame manipulation for special effects? And, how do I get my composite video, added visual effects and other elements back into the editing program for my final cut?

A solution to this is to have an creative production suite that incorporates all elements of digital media production into a single application, affording the ability to provide direct timeline composite, effects and rendering through a tabbed environment. Work on the main timeline, an individual clip, or start with the effects in their own clip.

As the speed and overall raw power of computers has increased, and continues to do so at an alarming rate, the hardware resources to do so is evermore present.

Why has this not been done? The primary developers of media software are dependent upon the sale of their individual products, so it raises their profit margin by having the programs split apart and sold individually or as a special combination of tools.

With open source software, the tools are available for growth into the realm of professional media production and the groundwork is set for the movement into a central media environment.

Using, supporting and providing development resources to existing open source software projects such as Blender3D, Cinepaint, and Ardour, allows them to grow and challenge industry standard products currently available in the market.

Project Generation is focused towards the collaberation of individuals, groups and other open-source projects throughout all stages of the project development, filmmaking and production processes.
